June 27, 2023Webmedia South Pacific Helps SME Go Digital
July 13, 2023Webmedia South Pacific had the privilege of being invited to the “I Am Digital” online safety and literacy educational campaign (Phase 3) reflection workshop over the weekend.
“I Am Digital” is a highly successful social media-based online safety education campaign developed in partnership by Save the Children and Meta (formerly Facebook), specifically tailored for audiences in the Pacific Islands. The campaign was designed to educate and empower Pacific Island teenagers and young people to have safer and more positive experiences while using the internet and social media.
The primary objective of the “I Am Digital” Phase 3 reflection workshop was to bring together relevant stakeholders to analyze the evaluation evidence, engage in meaningful discussions, and formulate conclusions and recommendations. These invaluable insights will serve as a solid foundation for the next upcoming phase of the online safety campaign later this year.
The reflection workshop was a hybrid event, where guests joined both in-person and virtually. It was a remarkable experience for us as we had the honour of delivering a presentation on the creative aspects of the campaign.
Webmedia is grateful to be a part of such an important initiative that aims to create a safer online environment and promoting digital literacy. By equipping Pacific Island youth with the knowledge and tools to navigate the digital landscape responsibly, we empower them to become informed decision-makers and responsible digital citizens.
